Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:6-7 (KJV)

Life always throws up challenges and decisions taken are weighed on either the scales of God or man. The apostles remarked “Do we please men or God? Their response was, It is better to please God than man. They placed the value of their actions on their understanding of the difference in the value systems of man and God. Benjamin Franklin stated, “I conceive that the great part of miseries of mankind are brought upon them by the FALSE ESTIMATES they have made of the value of things” What value have you placed on yourself? What value have people placed on you? What value system do you use in making decisions? Are you placing false estimates on yourself and bringing misery and pain? Hyperdictionary defines value as: To estimate the value, or worth, of; appraise; to reckon with respect to number, power, importance: This is different from our definition which is “the victory that anchors life unforeseen experiences through the Savior.

Let us look at the way God sees you and what value He places on your life. In the beginning He formed you and when He finished He described you as “very good” He declares that He has a plan for you, a plan of good and not evil. John also reminds us of His love: John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life: In the verse above He describes us “more valuable” Easter, reminds us of the works and obedience of Christ in bringing us victory over every unforeseen situations.

As you approach this month and the mouths ahead review carefully your value and the value you place on decisions. Do not allow and accept people’s value of your life. You are more valuable in the hand of God than the measure any man places on you. Your salary is not your value, your possessions are not your value, the people you relate to are not your value. The children you have are not your value. Your value is what God places on your soul. Your are more valuable than you can imagine. Think about it? How much does the blood of Jesus cost? You have been created in God’s image, He has already blessed you in the heavenly places[Eph 1:3]. Walk in the value God places on your life. God bless. Amen
