Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:Eph 6:14-17 (KJV)

We periodically take stock of plans and events that have occurred. People will draw different conclusions based on achievements, failures and difficulties that may have been experienced. Standing is an upright position supported by the feet in humans and structures for object. The Lord assures us in the above verses that we should maintain the upright posture, a position of hope not that of despair. To maintain this posture one has to Surrender Totally to the Almighty who knows all things, sees all things and without whom nothing can be made. S.T.A.N.D is a commanding position. It is a position of authority. An authority not in the things you have acquired or achieved nor in the people you know. It is an authority based on your knowledge and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is time to stand girding your loin with TRUTH. Truth is Christ as he says,“I am the way and the TRUTH and the life (John 14:6). It is time to stand in RIGHTEOUSNESS. Remember the scriptures describe our righteousness as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). We need the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22). It is time to stand in the GOSPEL of peace, the gospel of Jesus Christ which has power to save (Romans 1:16). It is time to stand in FAITH not fate. Christ is Faith as Hebrews 12:2 declared “Looking unto Jesus the founder and perfecter of our faith . It is time to stand in the SALVATION we have. Christ is our savior as there is no other name by which a man may be saved (Acts 4:11-12).

It is time to stand in the WORD of God. Christ is the word. The scriptures tell us, “In the beginning was the Word (John 1:1), and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) It is time to stand in the knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ. Do not take your eye off Jesus Christ when your expectations have not been met as His promises are yea and amen neither should you if things are going on as planned. Therefore as you review your progress in life, whatever the result please S.T.A.N.D knowing that HE is Lord over all and He will never fail to deliver. His timing and time are the best, for at the right time all things will work together for our good (Romans 8:28). BE ENCOURAGED, DO NOT DESPAIR BUT S.T.A.N.D. Amen
