The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Luke 6:40

Do you see yourself as a master or do you have masters over   you? Are you dominating in your role as a master and making people know that you are in charge? Is anyone belittling you because they are in charge? Do not despair because God’s grace is sufficient to help you.

A master is one who has people working for him or a person who has general authority over others. Do you have authority over others? Are you behaving in a mature way? Are you training those who are under your authority or are you using them for material gain? Have you trained anyone under your authority to do as you or even more than you are able to achieve? Are you intending to evaluate and release people who work for you so they pursue their destiny or are you stifling their destiny?

A master, according to Christ serves the people, so resolve to serve in a mature way. This involves training, evaluating and the release of people to serve their destiny. On the other hand if you are being oppressed by a master do not give up but serve till a time that you have to leave gracefully. Jacob served under Laban for thirty years. He realised the time to move when Joseph was born. He said to Laban “Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country (Genesis 30:25)”. David was a master extraordinary. He took 400 men who were desperate, in debt, or discontented and became their leader (1 Samuel 22:2). These men were later described as “Warriors as fierce as a wild bear whose cubs have been stolen (2 Samuel 17:8)

Be prepared for a time like this in your life. To be a master you must walk into the unknown with God. When you move, resolve not to behave like the domineering master but be a true M.A.S.T.E.R whose desire is to train, evaluate and release individuals into their destinies. Amen
