He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.
Psalms 40:2
Do you want a change to your present circumstances? Do you require an improvement? Do you need lifting? If yes, do not despair.
Lift means to raise, elevate, improve in rank, condition, estimation or character. Being lifted requires a means to do so. The common example is getting onto an escalator that takes you from a lower floor to a higher level or vise versa. The acronym explains lifted as Leverage Informed by Faith and Truth which Establishes your Destiny. What are you leveraging on? Let us look at some people who leveraged on information received by walking in faith to establish their destinies. That is, who were L.I.F.T.E.D
First Abraham received the word, “Leave your native country, your relatives…..and go to the land that I will show you……So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed (Genesis 12:1-4). He was lifted from being childless to being a father of many nations.
Second, Joshua received the word, “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites…….into the land I am giving them” (Joshua 1:2). He obeyed and was Lifted, by getting to the promised land and dividing it amongst the 12 tribes
Third, Peter and his friends had toiled all night with no catch. He received the information “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” His response was, “We worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! (Luke 5:4-6) He was lifted from no catch to catching a great number of fishes. Finally, Saul met Christ and ask, What will you want me to do? (Acts 9) He obeyed and was lifted from going to destroy the disciples to building and becoming an apostle to the Gentiles
This is the time to leverage on the information you have received in faith. Your faith in the truth is the means by which you will be elevated to the higher position. Keep the faith, walk in the truth received for He will lift you out of despair. He will set you safely on a rock and make your steps secure as you are LIFTED. Amen
