Let us be bold, then, and say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

Life is a journey. A journey of having enough interwoven with lack and need. At the point of need what do you do? You will cry out for help. You will look around expecting to receive help but this does not come easily. You may look at relatives, friends, the church, the state but all these institutions may fail you. Help is defined as, to furnish with strength or means for the successful performance of any action or the attainment of any object; to aid; to assist; and your sources are not providing you with the aid needed.

Help as an acronym is the hope established by the Lord’s participation in the activity or project where you need to be aided. Are you prepared to allow the Lord to participate in your life. Let us look at three examples where the Lord participated in peoples lives: The lame man at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-10) who had been invalid for 38 years: He needed help to get into the pool when it was stirred up so he could have his healing. He had no help but when he met with Jesus he regained strength. The Centurion was seeking help for his servants health (Matthew 8:4-10). He allowed Jesus to participate. Jesus said to him go for thy servant is healed. When the centurion arrived home and enquired of his servant, he noted that he was healed at the same time that Christ said, Go for he is healed

The disciples were in a boat with Jesus (Mark 4:35-41). When the storm arose, they tried to get rid of the water flooding their boat. When they couldn’t, they cried to Jesus who participated by speaking to the wind and the storm calmed

In these three scenarios, people needed help and they called on the Lord to participate. The Lord did as He gave them the aid they needed. What are you battling with? What help do you need? Is it your health, finance, faith, future, security? Allow the Lord to participate and he will bring you the necessary help. He assures us to call upon Him and he will give us great and mighty things we have not known (Jeremiah 33:3). Again he reminded the disciples saying, you have not asked anything in my name, ask that your joy may be full (John 16:24). There is no hopeless situation so do not stay helpless, call upon the Lord and He will help you. Amen
