So they went to Jesus and woke him up, “Master, Master! We are about to drown!” Jesus got up and ordered the wind and waves to stop. They obeyed, and everything was calm. Luke 8:24 (CEV)

Life is punctuated by periods of fear and anxiety. Our reactions during these moments determine and shape our futures. The Lord instructs as not to be afraid. How does one accomplish this feat? Calm is defined as freedom from motion, agitation, or disturbance. C.A.L.M as an alternative definition is acknowledging Christ as the Almighty Lord and Majesty at all time and in all situations. This will bring you the freedom from agitation. Let us look at four scenarios in scriptures

First: Luke 5:4-8, The disciples went fishing all night and caught nothing. Christ instructed them to cast their nets into the sea again. Peter said we have toiled all night and caught nothing but at THY WORD…… They did and caught many fishes Second: Luke 8:22-24, the disciples were agitated at the raging storm. They woke Christ up and acknowledged him as Almighty Lord and Majesty. He rebuked the wind and there was calm Third: Mark 10:46-52, blind Bartimaeus sort Christ as Almighty Lord and Majesty and he received his sight

Fourth: Acts 3:1-8, Peter and John acknowledged Christ when they met the man at the beautiful gate who had been lame and dependent for 38 years. The man received his healing Whatever the situation, Christ is more than able to bring you to a position of calmness. Is it the storms of life? Is it the lack of progress or non attainment of goals? Is it the persistent reliance on others to make progress? Start acknowledging Christ Almighty as Lord and Majesty and He will bring you the much needed calm. Amen
