She kept saying, “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.” At once the bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. Mark 5:28-29
Motives motivate. In stagnant situations, people seek motivational speakers to bring some encouragement. In other situations, motives are questioned e.g. “What is this person about? Does s/he think changes can be brought in this present situation? Such thoughts weigh on peoples emotions causing distress or joy. Are these scenarios familiar? The dictionary defines motive as, that which moves or incites one to action. What things move you or excite you? Considering the acronym, what Mental Observations do you have which need Translating Into Viable Experiences?
It is important to weigh your observations against those from the Lord e.g. the woman in the scriptures above. Do not be moved by thoughts that cause pain and hardship to others such Cainʼs hatred of Abel or Saulʼs persecution of the disciples because of their belief, but rather be driven by actions that bring peace and love to people e.g. Jacob negotiating with Laban over his salary.
When you are motivated by the Lord to translate your observations into viable experiences do not be discouraged either by the simplicity nor the enormity of the task as “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Remain focussed with your motives, knowing that God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19) and “All things will work together for your good (Romans 8:28). Therefore be obedient to God and not your feelings as you translate your mental observations into viable experience for the benefit of human kind. Amen
