An everyday activity of life is decision making which can be complicated by having emotional attachments. Being emotionally intelligent saves one from many untold consequences. Consider these two scenarios: First, are you able to give with gladness like the good Samaritan, when needed?(Lk 10:33-35) Second, are you able to say no without feeling guilty like the five wise virgins to the five foolish ones? (Mt 25:9)
If your answer is yes, you will have less worries and anxiety. If your answer is no, you are being influenced by people’s opinion, being emotionally blackmailed and hence likely to carry a heavy load of emotional turmoil – worries and anxieties.
